Solar

Bullet Hell Game made in 8 Weeks

Play Game

Overview

Solar Hell is a fast-paced, top-down bullet hell game set in deep space, where players are thrown into relentless combat against swarms of enemies and intricate projectile patterns. Developed over a period of 8 weeks by a small team of 4 students, the game was an exercise in game design.

The game allows the player to pilot a small spacecraft with tight movement and responsive controls, dodging bullets in chaotic environments and retaliating with powerful upgrades. The game emphasizes flow, intensity, and player skill, with mechanics inspired by classic arcade shooters and modern bullet hell design. Each wave increases in difficulty, forcing the player to master both movement and timing.
