VR Forensics Investigation is an immersive virtual reality application aimed at training forensic science students in the investigation of drug laboratories. Built in collaboration with the teachers and students from the forensic field at our school, the experience simulates real-world environments and contamination scenarios to prepare students for critical thinking and proper evidence handling.
The application is designed to provide training, realistic interactions with virtual objects, and in-depth logging of user actions. The system supports both standalone and instructor-led use cases and was developed with educational objectives in mind. Trainees must navigate hazards, identify substances, and avoid contamination using VR interactions such as swabbing, logging, and glove disposal.
VR Forensics was developed over the course of 6 months by a team of dedicated students. As a serious game, it serves as a bridge between classroom knowledge and real-world operational readiness in a safe, repeatable, and interactive environment.
